Live · until 31/12/2026 15 % relief in the Spanish income tax (IRPF)
You can deduct 15 % of what you invest in the charging point, on a maximum base of 4,000 € — up to 600 € off your tax bill. Two conditions are not negotiable: the installation must be finished before the end of 2026, and the payment must leave a bank trail (card, transfer or cheque — cash cancels the relief outright). Any grant received for the work is subtracted from the base.
Good news for holiday homes: the rule does not require the property to be your main home. It says "a property you own" that is not assigned to a business activity — so the villa by the beach and a space in a communal garage both qualify. (A property running as a holiday-let business does not.)
Who can actually claim it: this is a deduction inside the Spanish resident income-tax return, so it is for people who are tax resident in Spain — nationality is irrelevant. If you own the property as a non-resident and pay the annual non-resident tax instead, that tax has no equivalent deduction; and since Brexit, UK residents cannot use the EU/EEA option to be taxed as a resident either. We would rather say so plainly than let you plan around it.
The rest of the picture What is closed, and what is for something else
The MOVES III scheme closed on 31 December 2025 and no new charging-point round has opened in the Valencia region since. And unlike some other Spanish regions, the Valencian Community has no regional deduction for the charger itself — the 10 % figure still circulating on blogs no longer exists.
What does exist, for other parts of the puzzle: the national Auto+ scheme subsidises buying the electric car (up to 4,500 €, applications open until 31/12/2026) though not the charging point; the Valencian 40 % deduction on solar self-consumption rewards the panels on your main home; and companies can apply accelerated depreciation to charging infrastructure. Some town halls may reduce local property or building tax for a charging point — it is optional for them and uncommon, so check yours.
